Mr. Sudhir Thackersey is a Commerce Graduate of Bombay University majoring in Commerce and Economics. Immediately after his graduation in 1954, he joined The Hindoostan Spg. & Wvg. Mills Ltd. After serving the Company in various capacities he joined the Board in 1969-70 and became Chairman and Managing Director of the Company in 1978 and continues to be in that position till date. He is the past Chairman of the Bombay Mill Owners’ Association (1986-89), The Bombay Textile Research Association (1989-92), The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (1979-81) & (1994-96), The Textile Committee(1977-78) and The Indian Cotton Mills Federation (1998-2000). He was the past President of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF). Mr. Thackersey continues to be associated with various trade associations particularly in the field of textiles. He is also heading various Charitable and educational Institutions belonging to Thackersey family.
Mr. Chandrahas K. Thackersey is a Commerce graduate from University of Bombay. He is associated with the Thackersey Group since 1975. He was a Chairman of The Sirdar Carbonic Gas Co. Limited. He has rich experience in the Textile Industry. Mr. Chandrahas Thackersey was appointed as Vice-Chairman of the Company with effect from June 8, 2011 and as Chairman with effect from August 09, 2016.
Mr. Raoul S. Thackersey is a Commerce Graduate and has been associated with the Company for more than 10 years handling various operations in various capacities. Mr. Raoul S. Thackersey was appointed as an Additional Director of the Company w.e.f. 16.1.1997. He was a whole-time Director designated as Director – Karad (EOU). He was actively associated in the establishment and operations of the Company’s 100% E.O.U. Project at Karad since 1995. He was actively involved in all matters of the Company including implementation of the BIFR Scheme.
Mr. Khushaal Thackersey holds degree in Arts from Mumbai University and has also studied abroad. He has been associated with the Company since last more than 4 years and presently actively involved in all activities related to Engineering Division and Loom shed initiatives.
Mr. Sujal Shah is a practicing Chartered Accountant having an overall post qualification experience of about 22 years. He is founder partner of SSPA & Co., Chartered Accountants, Mumbai, and is involved in Corporate Consultancy practice of the firm.
He was partner of M/s N. M. Raiji & Co., Chartered Accountants till October 2006. His main areas of practice are Valuation for Mergers & Acquisitions, advising on restructuring of business, conducting financial due-diligence, and general corporate advisory. He has been associated with several large Corporate Mergers; He has carried out financial valuations of well reputed Indian and Multinational companies.
Mr. Bhavesh V. Panjuani is an Advocate and Solicitor and a Partner in M/s. Mulla & Mulla and Craigie, Blunt & Caroe, Mumbai, having been associated with the firm since 1991. He is a Member of the Indian Merchants Chambers Expert Committee on Law: Review, Reform & Rationalisation and IMC Court of Arbitration & Conciliation Committee since 2007. He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association and Bombay Bar Association. He has rich experience in Commercial and Corporate Law, Litigation (court and arbitration) and General Civil Practice. Mr. Panjuani was appointed as Director on June 8, 2011.
Dr. A.N. Desai holds Ph.D (Tech) in Textile Technology and he is a Fellow of Institute of Engineers, India. He was awarded the Honorary Fellow of Textile Association (FTA) by Textile Association (India) in 2003. He Joined Bombay Textile Research Association (BTRA) in 1980 after a stint in the industry. He is actively involved in many sponsored research projects, consultancy and training activities of BTRA. He is also Chairman of Geo-textiles and Industrial Fabrics Sectional Committee (TX30) of the Bureau of Indian Standards and Chairman of Textile Division Council of Bureau of Indian Standards from 2011. He was appointed as convener of a special committee for formulating specification for technical textiles in 2007. He has two patents to his credit. He was founder member of AATCC India Region and was involved in organizing AATCC International Conference at BTRA in 2010.Since July 2000, as Director of BTRA, he has initiated many activities towards self sufficiency and financial discipline as well as given a new direction to BTRA. He opted to retire from March 31, 2016 after nearly 16 years as Director, BTRA and from April 01, 2016 he is Mentor at BTRA.
Mr. Pradyumna D. Vora has studied upto Inter Commerce with certificate course of weaving from Sasmiras Institute of Management studies and research, Mumbai. Mr. Vora has also worked in Powerloom sector and Dyeing division of Textile Unit. He is engaged in whole sale Textile Business for more than 50 years and with Textile exports since last 5 years.
Ms. Maitreyee Agboatwala is a commerce graduate with professional qualifications as Japanese and Chinese languages Teacher & Translator. She has also headed the translation department at Unitech Systems for 6 years and has worked as freelance translator and handled interpretation assignments of Indians Companies dealing with Japan such as Thermax, Mahindra and Mahindra, Larson & Toubro, Tata Infotech and Glenmark Pharma etc. She has also worked with various Japanese Companies and Japanese trading houses in India and conducted both languages training courses.
Mr. Rajiv Ranjan has done B. Tech. in Textile Engineering from IIT, New Delhi and having work experience of more than 38 years in the Textile Industry. Mr. Ranjan is credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation , USA. Mr. Ranjan is having extensive exposure to a gamut of areas including manufacturing, marketing, finance, costing and HR with an overall P&L responsibility of business across the tenure.
Mr. Ranjan has also competence in setting up of Greenfield projects and turning around operations while scaling them up into sustainable and profitable business. He has deft in interacting with global stakeholders across various levels of hierarchy including internal as well as customers, senior management and auditors.
Mr. Ranjan’s major last assignment was President – Textiles with Mafatlal Industries Limited from January, 1994 to July, 2014.
